On 7 March, ALDE Party member Demokratesch Partei (DP) in Luxembourg announced the full list for the European elections in June.
Led by Charles Goerens MEP, DP’s current representative in the European Parliament, and 28-year-old Amela Skenderović, the party has a gender-balanced list of six candidates.
DP’s list represents a wide range of experience, expertise and key issues, aiming to preserve respect and tolerance and strengthen the European Union, as convinced Europeans.
“Especially in these times, we must do everything we can to ensure that the EU remains resilient so that citizens and our value-based coexistence continue to be protected,” said Goerens.
🇪🇺🗳️Our team is ready and totally motivated to get started! Looking forward to a fair, innovative, and inclusive dialogue with the voters.

Skenderović, who speaks eight languages and currently works as an English teacher, is particularly committed to women’s rights in Europe and good intercultural relations.
“Young people and women in particular are underrepresented in politics. I want to give a voice to those who don’t have one yet,” she said.
The list is completed by Nancy Braun, Jana Degrott, Christos Floros and Gusty Graas.
We are running to represent you at the European Parliament with the Democratic Party.
